To share with friends who are not online

The Church of England has launched a free dial-in worship service to bring prayer to people’s homes while churches are closed because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Daily Hope, offers music, prayers and reflections as well as full worship services from the Church of England at the end of a telephone line.

The national line is available 24 hours a day on 0800 804 8044.

Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby said the service has been primarily set up to support Britons, especially the elderly, who are unable to join online church services.

Living Stones

Let us pray to God,
who alone makes us dwell in safety:
For all who are affected by coronavirus, through illness or isolation or anxiety,
that they may find relief and recovery:

For those who are guiding our nation at this time, and shaping national policies, that they may make wise decisions:

For doctors, nurses and medical researchers, that through their skill and insights many will be restored to health:

For key workers and those caring for others at home, that they may be sustained by your grace.

For the vulnerable and the fearful,
for the gravely ill and the dying, that they may know your comfort and peace:

Please add your personal prayers

Holy Spirit, sent by the Father,

and renew the face of the earth,
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
