Prayers This Week
Let us pray to God,
who alone makes us dwell in safety:
For those who are guiding our nation at this time, and shaping national policies;
that they may make wise, just and compassionate decisions.
For our local community of Donnington, Donnington Wood and the Humbers; for all who work in our local schools, shops and businesses; for neighbours that we know and for those we have yet to meet; that we may work together to build a community that is welcoming and inclusive.
For all who are affected by coronavirus, through illness or isolation or anxiety; that they may find relief and recovery:
For doctors, nurses and medical researchers; that through their skill and insights many will be restored to health.
For key workers and those caring for others at home; that they may be sustained by your grace.
For those who are sick; for Skyla, Michael, Graham, Lynette, Nicky, Pamela, Rosemary, Ian, Jessica, Carol, Richard, Ellie, Tom, Fiona, Martin, Tony.Joan - that they may know the healing presence of Christ with them.
For the vulnerable and the fearful, for the gravely ill and the dying; that they may know your comfort and peace.
Remembering those who have recently died; For Graham - May they rest in peace and rise in glory.
For those who are grieving the loss of loved ones;
that they may find strength in God who shares our sorrows.
