Prayers This Week

Let us pray to God,
who alone makes us dwell in safety:

For those who are guiding our nation at this time, and shaping national policies;

that they may make wise, just and compassionate decisions.

For our local community of Donnington, Donnington Wood and the Humbers; for all who work in our local schools, shops and businesses; for neighbours that we know and for those we have yet to meet; that we may work together to build a community that is welcoming and inclusive.

For all who are affected by coronavirus, through illness or isolation or anxiety; that they may find relief and recovery:

For doctors, nurses and medical researchers; that through their skill and insights many will be restored to health.

For key workers and those caring for others at home; that they may be sustained by your grace.

For those who are sick; for Skyla, Michael, Graham, Lynette, Nicky, Pamela, Rosemary, Ian, Jessica, Carol, Richard, Ellie, Tom, Fiona, Martin, Tony. that they may know the healing presence of Christ with them.

For the vulnerable and the fearful, for the gravely ill and the dying; that they may know your comfort and peace.

Remembering those who have recently died;  Thomas Perry and Paul.May they rest in peace and rise in glory.

For those who are grieving the loss of loved ones;

that they may find strength in God who shares our sorrows.

Prayer for this week

God the Father, help us to hear the call
of Christ the King and to follow in his
service whose kingdom has no end:
for he reigns with you
and the Holy Spirit, one God, one glory.
